A case has been registered against a brick kiln owner in Maharashtra’s Thane district for allegedly forcing a 13-year-old girl into bonded labour, police said on Sunday.
According to the news agency PTI, the girl, belonging to the Katkari tribal community, was rescued from a kiln located in Bhiwandi taluka. Following the rescue, police registered a case on Saturday against the accused, Bhushan Kaluram Pardhi, a resident of Dinkarpada, according to an officer from Padgha police station.
