COVID-19 cases in Mumbai rise, breach 500 mark again

MMR also reports more than 1,000 cases; state’s cases stay below 3,000

Cases of COVID-19 in the city have been increasing marginally for the past two weeks. On Sunday, the cases jumped to 570, after 41,044 tests were conducted, with the test positivity rate of 1.39 per cent. This is the highest number of cases in the past 81 days. The last time the city witnessed such high cases was on July 14 at 635 cases. The deaths were low on Sunday at 3.
