The doubling rate of Covid-19 infections has continued to improve significantly and was 348 days on Wednesday, the TPR was 4.60 per cent and the recovery rate 94 per cent. A total of 1,021 people were discharged across the city after recovering from the respiratory disease.

The number of new Covid-19 cases in the city increased by over 300 on Wednesday, but the test positivity rate (TPR) improved further and remained under 5 per cent.
According to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation’s (BMC) report released in the evening, the city recorded 1,362 new cases and 34 deaths. Out of the 34 deceased Covid-19 patients, 25 had comorbidities, 18 were senior citizens and 12 were aged between 40-59 years.
