Daily cases in the city dropped below 1,000—a first this month—to 960 on Monday, as per the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation report. Mumbai also saw 11 deaths. The test positivity rate saw a marginal dip and stood at 2.10 per cent.
In the third wave, the highest TPR recorded in Mumbai was 29.9 per cent on January 6. At the peak of the second wave, the highest number of single-day infections stood at 11,163. Of the 11 deceased, eight had comorbidities. While one of them was in the age group of 40-60, the rest were aged above 60.
