COVID-19: Doubling rate of Mumbai down to 249 days

As city records less than 1K cases, some fear it’s because of fewer tests

On Saturday, the city saw a dip in numbers from the past week’s, registering less than a 1,000 cases. The state recorded 8,623 new cases on Saturday, taking Maharashtra’s tally to 21.46 lakh cases.

The total number of COVID-related deaths in the last 24 hours stands at 51, taking the total to 52,092 deaths in all.
