Covid-19 in Mumbai: Fresh cases go past 200; TPR dips marginally

The doubling rate continued to dip and was 2,915 days on Wednesday. The city’s recovery rate remained constant at 97 per cent, as 263 people were discharged after full recovery

While the city’s fresh COVID cases went past 200, the test positivity rate (TPR) saw a marginal dip even as more tests were conducted on Wednesday. After registering a record low TPR of the second wave on December 1 at 0.28 per cent, the city saw a TPR of 0.54 per cent on Wednesday. As per the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) report, there were 250 new cases along with one death in the city. 

The deceased had comorbidities and was above 60 years of age, said the BMC report.
