COVID-19: Maharashtra's cases increase by over 12,000 in 24 hours

Mumbai’s daily cases shoot up too and breach the 5,000-mark after a day’s dip; starting today, 10 centres will run two shifts for vaccinations

After witnessing a dip in the daily COVID-19 numbers for a day and recording about 27,000 cases, infections in the state shot up by almost 12,000 on Wednesday, with Maharashtra recording 39,544 cases. The city also witnessed an increase in the numbers and recorded more than 5,000 cases again. The total tally of the state has reached 28.12 lakh.
