Covid-19: Mumbai cases dip further to 1,240

Maharashtra also sees a significant drop in new cases, records 26,616 fresh infections

The city recorded a further dip in daily Covid-19 numbers on Monday with 1,240 fresh infections and 48 deaths.  Mumbai has been recording fewer than 1,500 cases since last week, except for Sunday, when it saw a slight increase to 1,544 new infections. However, the test positivity rate saw a marginal rise on Monday at 7 per cent from 6 per cent on Saturday.
