After crossing the 500-mark on Saturday, Mumbai saw a dip in new Covid-19 cases and test positivity rate (TPR) on Sunday. As per the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) report, 453 new cases were reported on Sunday. The city recorded a TPR of 1.15 per cent and six deaths. All the six deceased had comorbidities and were above 60 years of age.

The state’s fresh Covid-19 cases saw a significant dip. As per the state health department report, 2,294 new cases were reported. The Covid fatalities also saw a drop as 28 deaths were reported across the state.
