The state’s test positivity rate improved and was 11.77 per cent on Tuesday and the recovery rate was 97.08 per cent

The city witnessed a marginal drop in the number of new cases on Tuesday and recorded two Covid-19 fatalities. As per the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) report, the city saw 353 fresh infections. Along with the dip in cases and deaths, the test positivity rate (TPR) also dropped below 1 per cent. While on Monday, the TPR was 1.20 per cent, on Tuesday the city recorded a significant dip at 0.91 per cent.
Of the two deaths reported in the city, one patient had comorbidities and both were above 60 years of age. The doubling rate continued to decrease and was 1,266 days on Tuesday. The city’s recovery rate remained constant at 97 per cent as 404 people were discharged after full recovery on Tuesday. The state’s Covid-19 cases saw a marginal rise on Tuesday. As per the state health department report, 3,989 new cases were reported. The state also saw a significant rise in the number of deaths at 86.
