Maharashtra saw a significant drop in new cases and Covid-19 fatalities on Thursday. As per the state’s report, 21,273 new cases and 425 deaths were recorded.

Mumbai saw a dip in new Covid-19 cases on Thursday along with an improved Test Positivity Rate (TPR). As per the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation’s (BMC) report, the city witnessed 1,266 new cases, a TPR of 4.44 per cent and 36 deaths.
The doubling rate has continued to significantly improve and is now at 351 days. Of the 36 deaths in Mumbai, 28 patients had comorbidities, 20 patients were in the age group of 60 and above, while 14 deaths were of patients in the 40-60 age group. The city’s recovery rate improved and was 94 per cent on Thursday and 855 people recovered and were discharged.
