It seems that new cases of COVID-19 in Mumbai, MMR and the state are declining. Mumbai recorded 3,876 new cases on Monday, the lowest since March 23 - 3,512 -  while the state saw 48,700 cases. Generally, cases are on the lower side on Mondays due to fewer tests on weekends, but on Monday the difference was more. But the number is still greater than in the peak of the first wave.
