For the first time since the second wave of the pandemic hit the state, Mumbai recorded less than 1,000 cases on Tuesday. The city saw 953 cases and 44 deaths over the past 24 hours. It had reported the highest number of cases (11,163) on April 4. However, it has been recording cases below the 1,500-mark since last week.
