Covid-19: Mumbai sees sharp dip, records 953 new cases

Maharashtra sees slight rise in numbers with 28,438 fresh cases and 679 deaths

For the first time since the second wave of the pandemic hit the state, Mumbai recorded less than 1,000 cases on Tuesday. The city saw 953 cases and 44 deaths over the past 24 hours. It had reported the highest number of cases (11,163) on April 4. However, it has been recording cases below the 1,500-mark since last week.
