COVID-19: Mumbai’s doubling rate down to 63 days

Mumbai reports 6,130 new cases, recovery rate now at 86 per cent; MMR crosses 10,000 mark

The state recorded 35,726 new cases on Saturday, taking the total tally of Maharashtra to 26.73 lakh cases. The mortality rate also saw an increase in the last 24 hours as the COVID-related deaths recorded in the state were 166, taking the total to 54,073 since the pandemic struck.

On Saturday, the city reported 6,130 new cases, thus putting the entire civic administration into a state of alarm.  The city recorded 12 deaths on Saturday with nine patients suffering from comorbidities, and eight being senior citizens. Meanwhile, MMR recorded a total of 10,638 positive cases.
