Covid-19: Mumbai’s TPR rises sharply to 1.71 per cent

City, state see major jump in fresh cases at 514 and 3,783 respectively

Mumbai`s test positivity rate (TPR) saw a significant rise on Wednesday along with a marginal dip in Covid-19 fatalities. The new cases in the city too saw a major jump and the figure went above 500. As per the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) report, 514 new cases were reported on Wednesday along with four deaths. The TPR was 1.71 per cent. 

The doubling rate continued to improve and was 1,277 days on Wednesday. All the four deceased had comorbidities and were above 60 years of age.
