COVID-19: Saturday sees slight dip in number of active cases in Mumbai

The city reported 2,982 cases from 24,441 tests. On Friday, the city had reported 3,062 cases, the maximum till now. The test positivity rate—positive results among 100 tests also climbed up to 12.2 per cent from three per cent in the first week of February, and recovery rate is down to 91 per cent.

After crossing the 3,000 mark on Friday, Mumbai registered slightly fewer cases on Saturday. But, the number of cases and deaths in the state is rising. Maharashtra reported over 27,000 cases on a single day with 6,100 cases in the Pune circle alone. MMR, including Mumbai, reported 5,600 cases. The state registered 92 deaths and the city reported seven deaths.
