Day 2 two of the vaccination drive for those aged 45 and above had the same response as Day 1. On Friday, too, about 39,000-odd beneficiaries were vaccinated, whereas the total turnout, including that of senior citizens, health and frontline workers was 57,390 - way lower than what the BMC aims to achieve daily. The civic commissioner had last week given a diktat that as many as 1 lakh citizens daily should be inoculated.

Meanwhile, a total of 12,66,387 beneficiaries have been inoculated so far, out of which 1,56,456 have been fully vaccinated with both doses.
