The heart of a Dahanu resident, who lost his life in an accident during dahi handi festivities was transplanted into a 22-year-old Mumbai woman with end-stage heart disease. The transplant was possible after the heart was transported from Surat on a commercial flight because arranging a chartered aircraft was not possible due to the rains.
