A 35-year-old man jumped to his death from the fifth floor of JJ Hospital late on Thursday morning. The deceased was later identified as Subhash Patole, a resident of Jalna district who had been admitted three months back for heart-related complications. Dean of JJ Hospital Dr Tatyarao Pundlikrao Lahane confirmed the incident, saying that Patole succumbed to his injuries in the wee hours on Thursday. "He underwent a heart operation in July. We have no idea why he decided to take his own life," he said. "At around 2 am, he jumped from the bathroom window of the fifth floor ward, where he had beenu00a0 admitted," he added. The police have registered an Accidental Death Report (ADR). Doctors claim that Patole was suffering from severe depression ever since his operation. Senior Police Inspector K Patil of JJ Marg police station said, "He was unwell and therefore he might have taken the step. There are no signs of any foul play in the incident." A mother, wife and two children survive Patole.
