Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray engaged in a sharp exchange of words on Thursday, as Thackeray continued his tour of the Marathwada region to assess the condition of farmers affected by debt and crop losses.

During his interaction with farmers, Thackeray played an audio clip of a past statement by Chief Minister Fadnavis promising a complete loan waiver to farmers ahead of the elections. In the recording, Fadnavis can be heard saying, “We are going to give a complete loan waiver to our farmers.”
