Thane civic body issues safety advisory, urges to celebrate Diwali responsibly

The Thane civic body on Thursday issued a Diwali 2025 safety advisory and urged citizens to celebrate the festival responsibly.
An official statement, issued by the Thane Municipal Corporation, said as air quality in Maharashtra`s Thane falls under the "moderate" category, only green (eco-friendly) firecrackers are permitted within the city, in line with the orders of the National Green Tribunal.
