A court in Thane district has placed two directors of Amudan Chemicals in police custody until Friday following the Dombivli factory blast that killed ten people and injured 60 others. On May 23, an incident happened at a chemical factory in the Dombivli MIDC.
The company`s directors, Malay Mehta and his wife Sneha Mehta, were presented before the Kalyan magistrate court. Police wanted to take them into custody for further investigation into the Dombivli factory blast. The couple`s lawyer claimed that the explosion was caused by a heatwave, which prompted a chemical reaction, referring to the tragedy as an "act of God", reported PTI.
