Dombivli: Two killed in separate incidents while trying to mediate a fight

In two separate incidents held in Dombivli recently, two people were killed when they tried to intervene a fight between a husband and wife. The Manpada police in Dombivli have registered two separate murder cases in the matter, have even arrested one accused in the murder case, and are further investigating the matter. 

According to the police, in the first incident, Sandeep Mengane and his wife, Sangeeta Mengane, who live in the Sonarpada area of Dombivli East, used to have arguments over petty issues.  “There was an argument between the two on Sunday afternoon. During the argument between the couple, Sandeep’s brother Sagar, who was in the house tried to mediate and stop the dispute.  But the enraged Sangita stabbed Sagar with a knife. Sagar was injured and later died during treatment. Meanwhile, Sangita also cut the veins on her hand.  A case has been registered against Sangita at the Manpada police station regarding the matter. Sangita is undergoing treatment in the hospital,” said a police officer.
