Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena politician Sanjay Nirupam on Wednesday sought to link rival Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena (UBT)`s leader Aaditya Thackeray with the alleged irregularities in the Mithi river desilting scam, reported the PTI.

Sanjay Nirupam demanded that former Maharashtra minister must also be also probed in Mumbai`s Mithi river desilting case being probed by the Economic Offence Wing (EOW) of the Mumbai Police.

Talking to reporters, Sanjay Nirupam said that from 2005 to 2022, the undivided Shiv Sena controlled the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).
