Elphinstone Bridge in Mumbai to be shut for vehicular traffic from Friday 9 pm

The Mumbai Metropolitan Regional Development Authority (MMRDA) has made available two ambulances for the residents of Parel and Prabhadevi areas to travel to hospital in case of emergencies

The bridge is being replaced by a two-deck structure, with the lower deck retaining east-west connectivity and the upper deck linking it to the Sewri-Nhava Sheva Atal Setu. File pic
The Elphinstone Bridge, connecting Parel and Prabhadevi, will be shut for vehicular traffic on Friday at 9 pm. The Mumbai Traffic Police have issued a final closure notification in this regard.
Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Anil Kumbhare confirmed the development with mid-day.com.
