Fashion designer Riaz Gangji sustained injuries after he was allegedly pushed down by some people from the first floor of a building in suburban Santacruz in the wee hours on Wednesday, police said.

The incident occurred while repair work was going on in the shop of Gangji in Sujata building in Santacruz, they said. Gangji entered into an argument with the residents of the building following which they allegedly assaulted the designer and pushed him down from the first floor, police said. He has been admitted to the Lilavati Hospital here.
