Officials said fencing will segregate crowding at the platform; staircases, escalators and elevators on the island platform will prove to be a major crowd buster

Fencing was completed on Sunday
The railways on Sunday successfully fenced the platform no. 1 of the Badlapur station. The fencing, officials said, was done to segregate crowding as the Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation (MRVC) will now be able to complete remaining work of the elevated deck, which is partially ready.
With the fencing complete, the platform where terminating and originating trains arrive at Badlapur is now separated from the rest of the station. mid-day was the first to highlight the issue on March 26 after the railways announced plans for a new elevated deck. The multiple staircases, escalators, and elevators on the island platform will prove to be a major crowd buster to move out hordes of commuter crowds quickly, said officials.
