The University Grant Commission's (UGC) proposal to restrict the term of college principals to five years and prohibit them from taking the post thereafter has been met with angry response.

T Shiware, who has been the principal of KPB Hinduja College in Charni Road for the last seven years, said, "It's shocking that we can be principals only for five years.
