Force One, the specialised commando battalion raised after the Mumbai attacks, will be deployed as part of the tight security arrangements being made for the winter session of the Maharashtra Legislature, commencing here from Tuesday.

Personnel of the newly-raised commando unit, formally inducted by Chief Minister Ashok Chavan last week, will be well-equipped with bullet proof jackets and sophisticated AK47 and other arms to provide security to VVIPs and VIPs, Commissioner of Police Praveen Dixit said.
