Not in the mood to watch the match alone, local organisations are planning public match screenings in a bid to share the fun

Cricket crazy Jain Jagruti Samiti (JJS) members will convert the Police Hockey ground at Ghatkopar, hitherto used for Navratri celebrations, into a venue to screen the India-Pakistan semifinal on Wednesday.

There will be free tea, coffee and snacks served. Ramesh Morbia, Secretary of Jain Jagruti Centre North East, says, "There will be two LED screens put up. Entry is free. Members need to bring their JJS identity cards.

Outsiders will not be entertained, and sufficient security will be deployed." There are other public screenings too. Winner Bindra, President, Rahul Gandhi Youth Brigade of Thane district will project the match on a 20 X 20 screen at Shree Nagar near Ayyappa mandir, Wagle estate, Thane. "More than 1,000 people are expected. We will play the dhol to cheer big hits."

Gagan Alag, owner,u00a0 Natraj Avenues (lawn and garden), Chembur, is planning to hold a screening for family and friends. "My employees asked me for leave butu00a0 they can now watch the match at work itself."
