It was a race against time for Ghatkopar police when they received a call from a local resident, informing that her 36-year-old nephew had posted a suicide note on Facebook and was missing. Working swiftly, police traced the man to the forest behind Hiranandani Powai and stopped him from taking the extreme step.
Police said the man was counselled and sent home in Trimbakeshwar, Nashik, and his family was also informed. At 5 pm on Sunday, Meera Jadhav, a resident of Golibar Road in Ghatkopar West, reached out to police saying her nephew Paramdev Ahirrao, an advocate, had gone missing from her home. He had posted a suicide note on his Facebook account and was not seen in the vicinity for a couple of hours.
