The Government Railway Police (GRP) have busted two gangs hailing from West Bengal involved in chain snatchings on local trains in Mumbai and arrested eight people, a police officer said on Wednesday. The police recovered gold chains worth Rs 5.19 lakh from the members of the gangs. The gangs used to operate in groups of four, the officer said. “After identifying their victim, they used to pick up quarrels with them on some pretext or the other while the victims were boarding a train.
