Heavy rains caused a road collapse in the Palghar district, slowing traffic on the important Mumbai-Ahmedabad highway for over four hours on Sunday morning. According to a police control room officer, repair work, including pipeline maintenance, was in progress when a part of the Maljipada road collapsed owing to heavy rain, reported PTI.
