Teachers from the Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC) delivered an impressive performance in the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET), with 21 out of 35 candidates clearing the exam on their very first attempt, registering a success rate of 60 percent, an official said on Saturday.
In an official statement, KDMC Public Relations Officer (PRO) said, “The TET became mandatory following a Supreme Court ruling dated September 1, 2025, which required all teachers across mediums with more than five years of service remaining to qualify for the exam. While the decision sparked widespread protests in several parts of the state, KDMC teachers chose to treat the requirement as a challenge and worked towards meeting the standard.”
