The collective water stock in the seven reservoirs that supply drinking water to Mumbai is now at 35.70 pc, as per BMC data.


As per the data shared by the civic body, the water level in Tansa is at 65.90 per cent.


At Modak-Sagar, 58.82 per cent of water stock is available.


In Middle Vaitarna 48.47 per cent, Upper Vaitarna 11.62, Bhatsa 28.58 per cent, Vihar 51.07 per cent and Tulsi 74.89 per cent of useful water level.

The seven lakes have 5,16,698 million litre of water on July 18, against the full capacity, which is around 14,47,363 million litre.

Meanwhile, Mumbai and its suburbs received heavy rainfall overnight and the weather department has issued a 'yellow' alert, predicting heavy rains in the city and adjoining areas on Tuesday.

Suburban services of the Central Railway were affected due to the rain during the morning rush hours.

Heavy rains lashed Bandra, Dahisar, Chembur, Fort, Matunga, Byculla and other areas of the city during the night, as per civic officials.
