The child accidentally swallowed the magnet on December 22
There have many incidents of children swallowing pins, coins and batteries. In one such case, a four-year-old girl accidentally ingested a magnet. When the item didn’t come out even after a week, a colonoscopy was performed at Bombay hospital to remove it.
On December 22, Navya Shah (name changed), a Vasai resident was playing with a toy that had a magnet in it. While sucking on the toy, she accidentally swallowed a magnet. After informing her parents, she was taken to a local doctor.
