The number of casual leaves (CLs) for Maharashtra police officials from ranks ranging from police constable to inspector was increased from 12 to 20. The decision was taken on Wednesday by the state cabinet headed by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, as per the PTI.
According to an official statement, the number of casual leaves for the state government employees was earlier increased from eight to 12. However, looking at the increasing workload of the police personnel, like 'bandobast' during festivals and VVIP duty, the number of casual leaves has been raised from 12 to 20 for the ranks from constable to police inspector, it said.
