Maharashtra municipal corporations ready for upcoming January 15 election

With polling day approaching, the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) and the Panvel Municipal Corporation (PMC) have declared full preparedness for the civic elections scheduled on January 15, putting in place extensive administrative, security, and technological measures to ensure free, fair, and peaceful voting.

In Navi Mumbai, Municipal Commissioner and Chief Election Officer Kailas Shinde said all election-related arrangements are in place across the city’s 28 wards, where polling will be conducted under the multi-member panel system. Wards 1 to 27 will elect four corporators each, while Ward 28 will elect three members.
