In a landmark step towards transparent governance, the Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) has made 15 crore documents available for public on its official website — https://mhada.gov.in.

Earlier in April, the state housing board had announced the decision to make documents public. The initiative has been implemented under the leadership of MHADA Vice-President and Chief Executive Officer Sanjeev Jaiswal.

The move has been carried out as part of disclosure under the Right to Information (RTI) Act to allow homebuyers to access records without having to file RTI applications.
