Two-time MP Kapil Patil secured lead in only 3 segments, losing constituency to NCP (SP)

BJP’s Kapil Patil managed to secure only 34.57 per cent of the vote share
Union Minister of State Kapil Patil, who lost the election from the Bhiwandi Lok Sabha constituency, also failed to get a lead in the Mahayuti’s Assembly segments. As a result, the BJP-dominated Bhiwandi saw the two-time MP lose to NCP (SP) candidate Suresh ‘Balya Mama’ Mhatre. Mhatre got 4.99 lakh votes (39.85 per cent) while Patil secured 4.33 lakh votes (34.57 per cent). In the 2019 election, Patil got 5.23 lakh votes, which amounted to 52.09 per cent vote share.

NCP (SP) leader Suresh ‘Balya Mama’ Mhatre
