Supriya Sule, the leader of the NCP (SP), is on pace to win her traditional Baramati Lok Sabha constituency, with more than 50,000 votes ahead of her competitor and sister-in-law Sunetra Pawar of the NCP in the eighth round of counting for Maharashtra Lok Sabha Election Results 2024.

The contest in Baramati, the home turf of the Pawar family, was keenly watched. According to the latest data for Maharashtra Lok Sabha Election Results 2024, Sule is leading Baramati by over 40,000 votes. She has received 2,93,739 votes, while her rival Sunetra Pawar has bagged 2,52,902 votes.

Addressing the public, per PTI report, Sule said, "I am thankful to the people of Baramati. After the victory, our collective responsibilities have increased. Let bygones be bygones. Whatever happened during the elections did not suit Maharashtra politics and it should be avoided in the upcoming state elections and for that we will take utmost precautions."

She added, "We upheld that tradition in these elections and we will continue to uphold it in the upcoming elections."

Sule attributed her impending victory and success of Maha Vikas Aghadi as the success of the people and added that the workers who stood strong by her father were NCP-SP's real strength.

Meanwhile, NCP (SP) chief Sharad Pawar stated that the Maharashtra Lok Sabha election results 2024 indicated a favourable situation for political change in the country. He mentioned that leaders of the INDIA bloc are likely to meet in Delhi on Wednesday to decide their future actions. However, Pawar acknowledged that the opposition bloc is not likely to form a government at the Centre, stated another PTI report.

Addressing a press conference, Pawar said, "I spoke to Mallikarjun Kharge and Sitaram Yechury. The INDIA alliance meeting is likely to be held in Delhi tomorrow. A final decision is expected by this evening. Accordingly, I will be in Delhi."

When asked about the next prime minister, he said, "We have not given it a thought."

Pawar highlighted the strong performance of his party and the Shiv Sena (UBT) in the Lok Sabha elections.  Pawar expressed satisfaction with his party's performance, noting that they contested only 10 seats in Maharashtra, of which they were leading in seven. "This is the success of my party workers, Congress, and Shiv Sena (UBT)," he said.
