Amid the political turmoil in Maharashtra, Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray on Friday sacked Eknath Shinde who has already sworn-in as the new chief minister of the state from the party, according to the ANI. Shinde had revolted against Uddhav and succeeded him as the new CM of the state. Uddhav had stepped down as the CM of Maharashtra on Wednesday after his party MLAs joined Eknath Shinde's camp.
The political crisis in Maharashtra began by a revolt in Shiv Sena led by Shinde who had initially moved to Surat and later shifted to Guwahati, Assam with other MLAs supporting him.
