Maharashtra records 16 new COVID-19 cases, zero fatalities

Maharashtra reported a total of 16 new COVID-19 cases on July 2, 2025. As of July 2, 2025, Maharashtra has reported a total of 2,533 COVID-19 cases from January 2025. As per the press release by the Public Health Department.

In a detailed update shared by the public health department, Maharashtra reported a total of 16 new COVID-19 cases on July 2, 2025. As of July 2, 2025, Maharashtra has reported a total of 2,533 COVID-19 cases from January 2025. As per the press release by the Public Health Department, authorities have conducted 31,238 COVID-19 tests during this period as part of its ongoing surveillance and response strategy.

Amid the easing situation, 2,415 patients have successfully recovered, taking the recovery rate to 95.34 per cent. The declining COVID-19 infected cases and increasing recovery rate portray a strong indicator of the effectiveness of current treatment and isolation protocols. 

Health officials in the release have also confirmed that all active patients are experiencing only mild symptoms, and there are no severe cases under intensive care at this time.
