Maharashtra reported 12 COVID-19 cases on Saturday and one death in the last 24 hours, taking the tally and toll in the state since January 1 this year to 2,569 and 41, respectively, a health department official said.
Since January 2025, a total of 32,842 COVID-19 tests have been conducted across the state, resulting in 2,569 positive cases. Out of these, 2,466 patients have successfully recovered, indicating a robust recovery rate of 95.99 per cent. On July 5 alone, 12 new COVID-19 cases were reported from various parts of the state, including Mumbai, Thane, Navi Mumbai, Pune, Kolhapur, Nagpur, and Gadchiroli. The total number of active cases currently stands at 62.
A 76-year-old woman from Kolhapur in the western part of the state died from the ailment, the official said, adding she was suffering from comorbidity.
