Maharashtra, the Public Health Department said, reported 61 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, along with 70 patient discharges. Maharashtra`s recovery rate was 98.17 per cent, with a case fatality rate of 1.81 per cent, stated a report in ANI. 

According to the report, a total of 2,728 COVID tests were performed, including 1,439 initial RT-PCR tests and 1,305 RAT tests, for a daily positive rate of 2.23 per cent. Additionally, Maharashtra has recorded 250 cases of the JN.1 variant.
