Suburban station gets elevated deck that will connect to Vasai Bypass Terminus

The deck that will connect suburban and express terminus
Vasai station, the city`s newest Bypass Terminus, on Wednesday got a massive 10-metre-wide elevated deck that will connect suburban and express terminus and also connect with the new Vasai Bypass Terminus.
Officially called the Vasai Road Coaching Terminus, it is a major railway development project next to the existing Vasai Road station (BSR), aiming to make it a key hub for long-distance and suburban trains, boosting connectivity, decongesting Mumbai’s network, and improving services like the Panvel-Vasai corridor, with completion anticipated by mid-2027. It will include new tracks (around 5 km), platforms, and facilities for long-distance (outstation) and suburban (EMU/ MEMU) services.
