The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday issued an orange alert for Pune, Satara, Sangli and several other parts of Maharashtra, predicting 'heavy to very heavy rainfall, thunderstorm and lightning on May 20.

In its weather bulletin, the IMD said that heavy to very heavy rainfall, thunderstorm with lightning and gusty winds (50-60 kmph) at isolated places were very likely on Tuesday in parts of Maharashtra.
