Following heavy to very heavy rainfall since Sunday, several rivers across Konkan coast in Maharashtra, especially in Ratnagiri district, have been flowing above danger mark, leading to flooding of the low-lying areas and prompting deployment of NDRF for rescue efforts on Monday.
