Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Poonam Mahajan on Monday said that the `Mahayuti` alliance will contest the upcoming Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections together, reaffirming the party`s commitment to public service over political speculation, reported news agency ANI.

Speaking to ANI, Mahajan said, "I cannot answer that speculation right now. It is not important for us. What is essential for us is that `Mahayuti` will fight together."

"How will we fight? You will come to know this, but whatever the BJP says, we will follow as workers... The BJP does not fight or work for elections. We always work for the people," she added, reported ANI.
