Thane: The police on Tuesday arrested a 27-year-old man from the Bhiwandi township in Thane for allegedly raping a woman following which she became pregnant.

As per the complaint filed by the 21-year-old victim, she used to work as a maidservant in Samru Bagh area of Bhiwandi where the accused lived, a police official said. Over a period of time, the woman became friendly with the accused, who worked as a cook at a hotel in Bhiwandi.
